For the 3 Way Freefly Open Teams will have to perform a Free round and a Compulsory round. The working time begin when the first team member leaves the aircraft. For the Compulsory Round the working time will be of 45 seconds. Teams are Free to perform their routine until opening time or until they present an obvious ending. They though must have their parachutes open not lower then 3000 feet.
Teams may do as many jumps as they are pleased until the dead line as indicated in the Schedule of Events. By that day all Teams competing in the 3 Way Freefly Open (and Pro class) will have to submit to the judges one video dub of their best Compulsory Round and one video dub of their best Free Round. Before exiting the plane you should film the Space Games sign at the door of the plane and this must be shown on your final dub as continuous footage with your compulsory and free round respectively.
The are no gender or no slot specific requirements on a freefly team. The team consists of three freeflyers, one of which wears a camera. The composition of the team must stay the same both for the compulsory and the free round.
Competitors, though, may compete in more than one Team as long as the other 2 Team members are changed
The Freefly Compulsory round is a way to have the freefly teams showing their technical skills and it gives the judges a way to compare apples to apples.

Rules for the Free Round

A panel of judges evaluates each team’s performance.
Rules for the judges on how to judge the Free Round.
Free Rounds will be judged on 3 different categories: Camerawork/Photography, Technical Skill and Overall Artistic Impression.
Each of the judges will have to judge only one aspect of the dive. The judges judging Camera-work will have to be a Video/Photographer (either an camera flyer or a film maker or a professional photographer). The judges judging the technical aspect of the dive will have to be freeflyers able to determine the difficulty level of the team moves and of the team flying. Judges judging the Overall Artistic impression, may be non-skydivers or novices and will look at the dives from a different perspective than a skydiver.
Each category is scored with 10 points maximum and the scores are added together to give a total score for the round and then divided by 3 for average points.
- 1st judge concentrate only on the Camera work and looks for: Composition, Angles, how the light is used, how the background is used, and smoothness of the pictures, Beauty of Photography, movement of the camera flyers.
